A 100-bed Covid Care Center has been set up at the city’s Lalbaug Guest House in Vadodara. Patients who have common symptoms of corona and do not have home isolation facilities are being admitted and treated here.
Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel during his visit to Vadodara gave instructions to start covid care center for patients who do not have home isolation facility in the city to provide effective treatment to them. Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has started Covid Care Center with 100 beds at Lalbaug.
The Nodal Officer of this center and health officer of Savli taluka Dr. Akshay Patel said that at present, on the first floor of this covid care center, 55 people including 29 inmates of Central Jail and 26 citizens are being treated for corona. So far 12 patients have been discharged from this center.
Dr. Akshay said that patients with common symptoms of corona are admitted here and are being given two meals a day including medicine, tea, snacks free of cost. The center is treating patients with two doctors and four nursing staff. Oxygen level of patients are checked every two hours and necessary medicines are being given on time.
Dr. Akshay added that the center has also cured patients who have an oxygen level of 92% and a CT scan showing a corona effect of 50%.
It may be mentioned here that the inmates of the central jail were kept in this center last year.
