More than 100 Indian fishermen, who were jailed in Pakistan for more than 18 months were released and sent back home. They reached Vadodara at 11 pm yesterday and from here are going to go back to their home towns like Porbandar, Veraval, etc
These fishermen were kept separate from Pakistani prisoners in Karachi jail. They came to know about the Pulwama attacks and surgical strike that India conducted on Pakistan by a TV in their barrack and they were not mistreated in any way. and were not mistreated in any way.
Every year many fishermen in Gujarat get captured by Pakistani forces if they wander too far into their territory while fishing. 200 to 300 more prisoners will be released in the coming two to three months.
