The city of Vadodara is blessed with lakes, ponds and rivers in and around the city. However, we may soon witness most of the water bodies in and around the city being glorified.
In a recent development, a 100-ft tall statue of Lord Parshvanath is said to be built in the middle of Sama Talav. The proposal for this development was given by Jain International Organisation.
In 2002, a 111-ft tall statue of Lord Shiva was built in the famous Sursagar Lake. Similarly, proposal to build a 108-ft tall statue of Hanumanji at Mahadev Talav had been recently given and approved.
The Lord Parshvanath statue at Sama Talav will be the 3rd largest statue in Vadodara.
