12th Garib Kalyan Mela: A three-day event where 11,355 beneficiaries received the benefits of Rs. 247 crores

A total of 11,355 beneficiaries are being given benefits amounting to over Rs. 247 crores which included Ayushman Card, PMJ, Kasturba Nutrition Assistance, Public Protection, Housing Allocation by Affordable Housing Department and free medical aid by District Administration, destitute old age and widow assistance, self-employment under Manav Kalyan Yojana by Vampa’s Health, Housing, and Urban Community Development Departments. Assistance was distributed under the schemes for businesses like tools, tailoring, embroidery, pickle production. The beneficiaries thanked the Prime Minister as well as the Chief Minister of the state and the state government for providing accommodation and opportunities for economic development.

Inaugurating the 12th Garib Kalyan Mela of Vadodara urban area at Sayaji Nagar Griha in Vadodara, Minister of State for Women and Child Development Manisha Vakil said that the state government has organized three days of Garib Kalyan Melas across the state under the visionary guidance of CM Bhupendra Patel. Poor welfare fairs are a leading initiative of Gujarat which was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is the former CM of Gujarat as an accurate means of poverty alleviation and ultimate human upliftment.

The benefits of government schemes have made it easier for the children of poor families to get pilot training or go abroad for education. The take-home ration facility will be provided by reputed dairies of the state that make flour rich in these nutrients, and the delicious dishes made from it enhance the nutrition of pregnant women and also children, focusing on food habits as well. The ministers congratulated the Mayor, Municipal Commissioner, and Team VMC for the smooth organization of the fair and gave detailed information about the public welfare schemes of various departments including Women and Child Development, Health.

 

Welcoming all, Mayor Keur Rokadia said that under the noble policy and policy of the Prime Minister, the Government of India and the State Government, and VMC are benefiting the people through various schemes. Numerous schemes are being implemented with the aim of uplifting human beings. Yes, the intermediary welfare scheme has necessarily come to an end as a result of which the benefits are received directly and indirectly by the beneficiaries.
