Baroda has always motivated art and culture and been a home to artists and their art exhibitions. Barodians appreciate art in every form and this enthusiasm has sparked interest in every common man.
At present, there are many self-made artists who are pursuing their degree in a different field. One of them is Rahul Kumawat who hails from a middle-class family. Without prior training or classes, he started drawing out of passion and has created quite a few pieces. Within a year, his art has transformed into masterpieces.
His recent masterpiece is a ‘stippling’ art of a horse. Stippling, also known as pointillism, is a drawing that involves creating shapes and images by making many small dots. 
He’s a mere 18-year-old boy, who aspires to sketch more and sell his paintings to be financially independent soon. His father works in the marble industry and supports his passion as Rahul illuminates his home with his positivity. He earns solely through his art and contributes to the income of his family. He wishes to continue, despite no formal educational background in art. He believes his passion for art will help him financially. In fact, he takes orders for portraits.
He studies in the Faculty of Family and Community Sciences, MSU. He wants to educate himself and become an interior designer. He feels inspired by one of his cousins, who sketches.
It’s said that art has the power to transform, to illuminate, to educate, to inspire and motivate and it stands true for Rahul Kumawat.
