Two new Volvo bus routes from Akshar Chowk and Nilambar Circle in Vadodara city to Ahmedabad have been started from Friday.
People from the western part of Vadodara, rural areas like Padra, Bhayali, Bill, Atladara, Sevasi, Gotri, Khanpur, Sherkhi, and many others will no longer have to reach the station to catch a Volvo bus for Ahmedabad. The State Government has started two new Volvo bus routes from Akshar Chowk and Nilambar Circle to Ahmedabad from Vadodara city. The new route was launched on Friday in the presence of Minister Yogesh Patel, Akota MLA Seema Mohile, Mayor Keyur Rokadia, Deputy Mayor Nanda Joshi, corporators, GSRTC officials, and others.
All the dignitaries present at the event flagged off the Volvo bus from Akshar Chowk to Ahmedabad. The bus from Akshar Chowk to Ahmedabad will leave at 8 am, while the bus from Nilambar Circle will leave at 7.30 am.
Minister of State for Narmada Development Yogesh Patel said thousands of passengers will benefit from the launch of the new Volvo bus route.
Akota MLA Seemaben Mohile said the people of the Akota assembly had repeatedly proposed to start Volvo bus routes from the area, so she wrote a letter to the chief minister and the transport minister. Within a month of writing the letter, the government has approved the launch of a new Volvo bus route, which will now benefit thousands of people.
