A 20-year-old female was allegedly sexually harassed and thrashed by three men near the Fatehgunj flyover on Sunday night.
As per the complaint, the girl was going to Manjalpur on her 2-wheeler on Sunday nights. Her relatives were on a different vehicle. At around 10 pm, three people who were on a 2-wheeler cornered her near the Polytechnic college.
The man driving the 2-wheeler began misbehaving with her and threatened her. When she tried to click his photograph from her mobile phone, he pulled her down by the hair and began to beat her. The girl’s brother, who was on a separate vehicle heard the commotion and turned back. The trio abandoned their 2-wheeler and fled.
The girl filed a complaint against the trio at Fatehgunj police station. Investigating officials said that one of the suspects had been identified as Brijesh Kanthariya.
Assistant Sub-Inspector said that the police found the residential address on the basis of the 2-wheeler license plate. He went to the home of the vehicle owner, but he is on the run. He added that the girl doesn’t know any of the accused, nor did she have any argument with them while driving. She had no idea why she was attacked by them.
