22 kgs of inedible food items destroyed by VMC

A surprise check was conducted by the Health Department of Vadodara Municipal Corporation at the Restaurants, Hotels, Lari, and Gallas. In this surprise check over 22 kgs of the inedible quantity of food items were destroyed by them.

As per the implementation of COVID-19 guidelines this checking was a part of it. It was conducted in various areas of the city from 21st to 26th. For the past few days, the corona cases have been on the rise in Vadodara and so special vigilance on food items has been asked by the state government. As per the instructions to maintain health in the view of the corona pandemic, strict implementation of the covid-19 guideline is also there.

Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) had formed different teams of inspectors from the Health Department, as per the instructions of the State Government. From 21st to 26th November they were checking hotels, restaurants, laari, and gallas at different areas of the city; where they found inferior quality goods were being sold at some places.

22 kg of inedible items were immediately noted on the spot and all hotel, restaurant, and lari galla operators were instructed to strictly implement the guideline of covid-19.
