30-40 heavy vehicles detained for violation of time limit

Vadodara Police detained 30-40 heavy vehicles for the violation of the Police Commissioner order about the time restrictions.

As per the notification issued by the Vadodara City Police Commissioner, heavy vehicles have been banned in the city from 7 a.m-1 p.m and from 4 p.m- 9 p.m. But, these heavy vehicles have been violating the time limit and innocent citizens fell victim of rashly driven trucks on the roads of the city.

A special drive was conducted by the Vadodara City Traffic Police Department, in which 30-40 heavy vehicles had entered the city limits despite NO ENTRY and the vehicles were detained and an RTO memo was issued for the violation of time limit.

However, the owners of the vehicles arrived at Karelibaug Traffic Police today and described how their business was affected due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown. They accepted their fault and pleaded mercy for the release of their vehicles and released their truck after paying the fine.
