3×3 Strategy adopted by VMC, Early Detection & Early Treatment

Today O.S.D Dr. Vinod Rao gave information about the strategy chalked down by VMC Corona Task Force. The baseline of the planning is ‘Early detection and Early Treatment’ This plan will be executed into 3 Levels / Phases

  • 1st Phase will be implemented until 10 May
  • 2nd Phase – 10 May to 31 May
  • 3rd Phase – From 1 June

Detail information was given about the 1st Phase planning in which 3 types of Health Centres and Hospitals are introduced.
1) COVID care centre: The positive cases with no / mild symptoms will be admitted and they will be provided with basic medical facilities, doctors and nursing staff
2) COVID health centers : these facilities will have oxygen support, doctors and nursing staff, specialist and special wards will be available at the nearest locations.
3) Dedicated COVID Hospital: These facilities will be equipped with specialists, ventilators and specific healthcare facilities.

Arrangements of approximately 2000 beds is done by the administration to keep COVID-19 positive patients.

  • 1500 beds for COVID Care Centre
  • 300 beds for COVID Health Centre
  • 200 DCB beds for Dedicated COVID hospital

Cases will be segregated as per the symptoms. Mild to Critical.
