4.5 feet long crocodile rescued near Kishanwadi area

Vadodara, like every year, this year too, after the monsoons rains lashed the city, many areas faced waterlogging problems. And like every year, this year too, as soon as the water level starts to recede, crocodiles start straying inside the residential areas and prove to be a threat to the people.

Late last night, Raj Bhavsar from Gujarat SPCA and Wildlife SOS received a call about a crocodile in the Kishandwadi to Ajbadi Mill Road near Sudma Nagar. The crocodile was sitting on the side of the road a little away from the main road.

The volunteers went there and saw a 4.5 crocodile on the road surrounded by lots of people. Meanwhile, the forest department was also informed about the same. The crocodile was very aggressive and it took a lot of effort by the volunteers to rescue it safely from the spot. The crocodile was finally handed over to the Vadodara Forest Department.

Raj Bhavsar further requested people to call on their helpline in such circumstances. Crocodiles are frequent at this time of the year and are visible after the water level recedes.
