4 schools asked to return 1.09 cr collected in the name of late fees, term fees and tuition fees

The FRC was formed by the state government to control the fees collected by schools. However, there were complaints that some schools were still not following the government’s decision. Taking strict action in view of the complaints the FRC took strict action against the schools in Vadodara and put an example before the parents.

The Fee Regulation Committee (FRC) has taken action against 4 schools in Vadodara city. These include Podar World, Podar International, DPS Kalali, and DPS Harni School. Podar World School collected Rs 2.23 lakh from students in the name of late fees. The FRC has ordered the refund and fined Poddar World School Rs 2 lakh. In addition, Podar International School had collected Rs 27 lakh in the name of term fees and tuition fees in the last three months. The committee ordered the school to return the money and slapped a fine of one lakh rupees. DPS Kalali and DPS Harni School collected Rs 80 lakh in the name of term fees and tuition fees. The FRC has ordered the schools to return Rs 80 lakhs to parents.

One week ago, the FRC ordered Global Discovery School and St. Kabir School to refund more than Rs 63 lakh collected, to parents.
