40,000 new voters added in Vadodara constituency

Vadodara constituency has 40,000 new voters who will be participating in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

34,175 voters have become of eligible age and while the district administration received more than 5,813 applications for people who want to register themselves as voters.

Around 24.05 lakh voters have been registered so far. Out of this, 5.84 lakh voters fall within the age group of 30-39 years, making it the biggest category, followed by 4.95 lakh voters in the 40-49 years age group category.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, 1.16 lakh voters had registered out of which Ranjanben Dhananjay Bhatt won by a landslide of 5.70 lakhs.
