Wildlife Rescue Trust’s volunteers rescued an 8.5-foot crocodile from Kelanpur village which is near Vadodara. On early Friday morning, the volunteers had laid a cage and trapped the crocodile in it. More cages have been set to catch other crocodiles present in that area.
According to the details provided by Arvind Pawar, the President of Wildlife Rescue Trust, he received a call from Sarpanch of Kelanpur village about the presence of three big crocodiles in the nearby lake. These crocodiles roam freely and stray inside the fields, which scared the farmers and forced themselves to stay inside.
Much to the relief of the village, Wildlife Rescue Trust Secretary, Yuvrajsinh Rajput and Vadodara Forest Official, Shailesh Rawal set the cage up and caught the crocodile and brought it to Vadodara.
The team kept two more cages as well in the area to catch the remaining crocodiles present in the area.
