87 people benefit from Covid treatment center of Dabhoi CHC

Under the guidance of the Vadodara District Collector, government community health centers with oxygen facilities were started at taluka level as part of an initiative. At Dabhoi CHC, 87 patients benefitted from the service.

On April 21st, Medical Superintendent Dr. Ajay Singh and his team started the corona treatment services. He said that as of May 26th, 129 patients had been admitted out of which 87 patients got full health benefits. 41 patients who needed intensive treatment were sent to the District Hospital. While one patient died during treatment. Currently, two patients are receiving oxygen treatment.

Singh said, a total of 442 oxygen cylinders had been used to treat the patients and 85 people needed oxygen treatment. For the first time in history, such a large-scale oxygen treatment was arranged in the taluka level health center in collaboration with the state government and the district administration.

He said that at the request of the District Collector, the administration provided adequate oxygen for the entire system. Shailesh Mehta, an active MLA, was very helpful in arranging arrangements including meals. Ashwin Patel, Chairman of the District Education Committee, and the office bearers gave a lot of support.

Amit Kumar Maganbhai Solanki, who was admitted as a patient on April 21, recovered after undergoing treatment here for about 9 days.

Amit was vaccinated, had a fever, and took treatment at home for eight days. However, he approached the Medical Superintendent of Dabhoi CHC, Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh, who told him to come to the hospital immediately. His corona test was positive and oxygen levels had dropped to 86-87.

He was immediately admitted and his oxygen treatment was started. His oxygen level returned to normal in just three days. However, he was there for six more days.

This arrangement has brought a lot of relief to the poor and middle-class corona patients especially in Dabhoi Nagar and Taluka.
