99% of the required land has been acquired and 96.56% of the compensation due to the land donors has been paid for Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai-Expressway

The Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Express Highway presently under construction is 845 kilometers. Currently, the Vadodara district administration has almost completed the very important land acquisition for the Vadodara to Mumbai phase within the limits.

Under the guidance of District Collector Shalini Agarwal, the district administration has come close to completing this work following the Land Acquisition Act.

Shalini Agarwal gave details and said that 99% of the required land has been acquired and 96.56% of the compensation due to the land donors has been paid.

Land Acquisition for Vadodara-Mumbai Express Highway covers a total of 29 villages in Vadodara district, 14 in Vadodara taluka, 9 in Padra taluka and 6 in Karjan taluka. The total land to be acquired is 599-31-41 hectares. Out of this, 99% of the land has been acquired and handed over to the editorial institute for which a total compensation of Rs 1617.82 crore has to be paid to the concerned account holders. Against that 96.56% compensation has been paid to them by the administration.

The land acquisition work of this project is continuously monitored at the highest level in the State Government as well as in the Government of India. At the district level also, under the guidance of the Collector, continuous efforts have been made to complete the proceedings very quickly under the Acquisition Act.
