A class 9 girl from Shri Saraswati School in Danteshwar locality, took a fall from her school’s terrace during school hours with an intention to commit suicide.
According to the girl’s friends, she was quite upset when she came to school about a feud that happened at home. The girl was allegedly having an affair with her sister-in-law’s brother. Her brother and his wife had recently learnt of this accord and revolted against it. They were allegedly threatening the girl to break it off and were giving her life threats as well.
The girl shared this incident with her friends before she called her alleged boyfriend from a borrowed cellphone. After getting no response from the boy, the 15-year-old decided to jump off the terrace. The purported reason she took the leap was because she was scared, and decided to end her own life before her family members could.
The girl is currently admitted to a city hospital, and is recovering.
