Maharani English Medium School increases fees by 10%, parents submit application to DEO

Maharani English Medium School near Sursagar has increased the fees by 10%. Parents submitted an application to the District Education Officer (DEO) protesting against the increase in fees and requested that the children should not be asked for the fees during their online teaching. The parents had gathered a week ago too, but the issue was not resolved and they gathered and shouted slogans against the process and want to represent their queries before the DEO.

One of the parents, Megha Dave said that the school is collecting fees from the students during the online teaching. She also mentioned that the pandemic has already affected the jobs of the parents and school should not increase the fees.

Another parent, Kamlesh Makwana said that when the parents filled the online forms for the admissions under RTE, they were rejected as the residence proof documents had the name of the grandfather instead of the father. The name changes only if the owner expires.

The parents demanded to consider the documents or give them time.
