Under the Swacch Bharat- Swachh Rail Abhiyan, Swachhta Pakhwada is being organized in the Indian Railways. As per the guidelines of the Indian Railways, by maintaining social distancing and other protocols, various activities will be organized under the Cleanliness Fortnight from 16th September- 30th September in the Vadodara Division of Western Railway.
In Vadodara, the campaign started with the Swachhta Oath. Divisional Railway Manager, Devendra Kumar, administered a cleanliness pledge to all the officers and employees through a web conference.
Different themes were given for everyday under the campaign. As per the themes, cleaning of the station, train, circulating area, depot, yard, shed, railway institute, school, railway colony, health unit, and other areas will be done according to social distancing and protocol. Apart from this, campaigns will be organized in the fortnight on the theme of Healthy Neer, Clean Competition, and Clean Cosmetics. Awareness campaigns will also be conducted for single-use plastic and saving water.
All the activities are being conducted by the Environment and Housekeeping Management wing of the Board.
