Two groups clashed at Zadeshwar Nagar ULC on the way from Akshar Chowk to Sunpharma Road within the limits of JP Road Police Station. Meanwhile, J.P Police Station PCR Van was on night patrol reached there and tried to control the situation. However, the crowd started pelting stones in the team and also set a police motorcycle on fire.
The ASI of the PCR Varn, Vinodbhai, received injuries on his hands after the attack on the police by the group that clashed late night. He was taken to the nearby orthopedic hospital. The on-duty doctor said that he suffered a fracture in his hand in the attack and he’ll be given treatment.
The incident took place late at night, was reported to the J.P Police Station and PI along with his team rushed to the spot and registered a complaint in the matter. Strict police deployment was kept thereafter the incident and an investigation is on to catch the assailants.
