Door-to-door survey and screening for COVID started by VMC

The second wave of Coronavirus has already begun across the state as social distance was not maintained during the by-elections and Diwali festivities by people. Vadodara has also seen a slight increase in cases in the last one week. Following which, 828 teams of Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) have started door-to-door survey in the city. Teams are screening every member of the household with a temperature gun and, if necessary, oxygen tests and corona tests.

Earlier the number of corona cases in Vadodara was around 91 a day. Now daily cases have reached 105.

A night curfew has been imposed in Vadodara city from Saturday starting from 9 pm to 6 am. Police have also registered cases of curfew violations against people leaving their homes unnecessarily.

On the other hand, the team of VMC’s health department has also been alerted and they have increased the corona tests in the city. Weeks ago, 3,000 tests were conducted in the city, However, now the number of tests has crossed 3,500 and will be further increased in the coming days to trace the corona patients quickly.

As a preventive step and to trace the cases early, VMC has started the eighth round of door-to-door health checkup from Monday today. Around 828 teams of the municipality have started door-to-door survey in the city. The teams check every member of the house in the city to check their health. Oxygen tests are also being performed on elderly people and corona tests are also being performed in cases of suspicious people.
