Pre-preparation for Coronavirus vaccination in Vadodara on Tuesday

On Tuesday Vadodara district health system had arranged a mock exercise called dry run. It was held at 5 spots under the direction of the District Collector. This run is going to be part of the pre-preparation done for the real Covid-19 vaccination. This is done to check the readiness of the system as per the prescribed protocols.

In coordination with the government and private medical institutes, the vaccination process will be completed. This dummy practice will happen in both the institutes to provide a clear understanding of its health workers regarding their roles and duties. The whole arrangement is been done as per the prescribed protocols by the government of India.

The dry run organized at the SSG hospital to check the preparedness of the teams during the vaccination drive. Organized by the VMC health department around 25 beneficiaries took part in the dry run to give a clear picture of the readiness and perfect the loopholes.

First, the beneficiaries have to sit in the waiting room following the social distancing rules. Then after the registration is done (to collect and save the data) and then allowed to enter inside the vaccination room. After the vaccine, the beneficiaries are referred to the observation room where they have to stay for 30 minutes. The expert team of doctors checked any complications in them after the vaccination and later allowed them to go home.

The dry run is an exercise in giving an idea of how and what procedure should be followed at the actual vaccination center, Chief District Health Officer Dr. Uday Tilawat said, dry runs have been held at Parul Medical College, Bhayali Primary Health Center, Pragati School of Bhayali Outreach, Janaki Vallabh Primary School at Padra and Sterling Hospital at Bhayali in the rural area of the district.

This is to create the names of recipients qualified for inoculation at every immunization community, check their personalities, register them by the staff, place them in the lounge area, lead the inoculation and hold the vaccinator under observation for 30 minutes at every immunization community dependent on the Cowin Covin programming application information base. To provide accurate training, this whole process is designed to create an environment similar to actual vaccination.
