Theft incidents in Vadodara

A gang involved in thefts after breaking car windows has been active for the past few days in Vadodara. After involved in a similar crime about 15 days ago, the gang has again targeted two cars, smashed windows to carry out two separate thefts.

Shagufa Kapadia works as a professor in the Home Science Faculty of MS University. On her way back from work, she parked her car near Gate No. 3 of Kamatibagh and went for a walk inside the garden.

On return, she found the glass of the back door was broken and the leather bag placed on the back seat was missing. The bag had an Apple iPod worth Rs 10,000, a mobile charger worth Rs 2,500, a hard disk worth Rs 1,500 and cash worth Rs 5,000, and important documents. She lodged a police complaint regarding the incident.

In another incident, Sumit Kumar, a resident of the Chhani area, went to a mall with his family near Nilambar Circle crossing where he parked his car outside on the road.

On return, he found the rear door glass of the car broken, and his wife’s purse was missing carrying a mobile phone, 5000 cash, and important documents. A police complaint has been lodged regarding the incident.

Ratnaram Punaram Servi, a resident of Rajasthan, was traveling onboard the Chennai-Jodhpur Express train with his family to his native place after his relative died. On the night of January 31st, a stranger traveling in his coach said that a daughter was born in his house so he happily brought juice for everyone. He spoke in the Marwari language and earn the faith of everyone. After drinking the juice, his family and other passengers got unconscious. The next day, Rs 5,000 in cash was missing in Ratnaram’s pocket. A police complaint has been lodged regarding the incident.
