Guj Deputy CM Nitin Patel’s declaration today

Gujarat Deputy CM Nitin Patel declared to start Covid Care Centers in four Atithi Gruh in Vadodara to accommodate the primary symptomatic patients. He warned the private hospitals that strict action will be taken as per the New Epidemic Act if they unnecessarily admit patients just for bills. He also added that beds are available in hospitals and in case of any need the Commissioner and Collector can increase beds in hospitals in Vadodara city and District.

Vadodara is witnessing a spike in corona cases and the administration is trying to curb the spread by taking control of the situation. Deputy CM Nitin Patel reached Vadodara on Saturday and chaired a high-level meeting at the Circuit House with top officials. Many important decisions were taken in the meeting to curb the transmission and increase the vaccination for the safety of people.

In view of the rising cases in Vadodara, it has been decided to open Covid Care centers at four Atithi Gruhs for primary symptomatic patients. The aim is to vacant the beds which are unnecessarily filled. He also warned the private hospitals against occupying beds unnecessarily or else strict action will be taken against them under the New Epidemic Act.

He said that the Remdesivir injections are available and the vaccination work is also going on in full scale. 34 Urban Health Centers (UHC) are running under VMC and if the need arises more will be opened. He appealed to everyone to wear masks and get the vaccine for their safety.

He also made it clear that there is no plan for any lockdown and requested everyone to support the Government to help them defeat the virus.
