Parul University student developed an IoT based health monitoring system

As everyday life has become fast-paced, lesser attention is paid to health. Abhishek Sharma has developed a project titled “IoT Based Health Monitoring System (Gauging Thong).

The purpose of this project is to autonomously monitor the health of the patients. This health-based device can sense the body temperature, blood pressure, and ECG of a patient. Upon sensing the parameter, the data is then produced on mobile applications. Here the sensed body temperature, blood pressure, and ECG value will be displayed in the form of graph and digital. Hence, the user can see the blood pressure, body temperature, and ECG by using the application.

In critical conditions, if the parameters drastically increase/decrease above or below the threshold value, then a notification will be sent to the doctor. The smart monitoring device is constructed with the help of Arduino Uno, pulse sensor, LM35 temperature sensor, ECG sensor, Wi-Fi module, GSM module, and batteries to be mounted on. This project intends to decrease the death rates which occur due to heart attack or heart-related issues, cost-efficient and reliable.

Abhishek Sharma is a student of the final year Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Parul University. His project guides are Anuradha Garde and Roma Patel (Assistant Professor, Parul Institute Of Engineering & Technology.
