Accuse in rape case wrote a letter to Pavagadh Temple Trust and resigned as Secretary

A meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Surendra Patel, President, Pavagadh Kalika Mandir Trust where discussions were held on Raju Bhatt, accused in the rape case against a college girl in Vadodara. He resigned from the post of Secretary in a letter to the Pavagadh Temple Trust which was accepted at the meeting of the temple trust.

Surendra Patel, President of Pavagadh Kalika Mandir Trust, said that the meeting was called in connection with Navratri preparations and ongoing developmental works. However, the meeting also addressed the complaint lodged against Raju Bhatt, Secretary of the Trust. He had written a letter to stay away from the functioning of the trust and requested to release him from the post of Secretary and hand over the responsibility to someone else. So he has been relieved from the post of Secretary and the responsibility has been given to another person. . But when the crime will be proved, he will be removed from the Trustee Post.

He further said that the ongoing temple development works and preparations for the upcoming Navratri festival were also discussed in the meeting and necessary resolution has been passed in this regard.

Vadodara Police are investigating the complaint registered against two – Ashok Jain and Raju Bhatt named in the FIR for allegedly taking a young woman who worked in the office to a guest house on Vasana Road in Vadodara city for a meeting and raped her after offering her a drink laced with some drug. The girl said in the complaint that the two had agreed to give her 50 percent share in the land deal and also offered to make her CEO of the company. They also threatened her about making her videos viral if she complains about the matter.
