Vadodara Crime Branch is investigating the rape case and collecting relevant and important details regarding the case. People involved directly or indirectly in the case are being investigated, statements are being taken by the police. The office staff, flat owner, and others as well as the accused are being interrogated. Police have also seized two cars used by the accused and the airport authorities have also been informed to stop the accused from fleeing the country.
ACP Crime D. S. Chauhan said that after the case was transferred to the crime branch, the hotel manager, owner of the victim’s flat was being interrogated and the victim’s statement was taken in the presence of female police officers. Five to seven teams are investigating in Vadodara, Gujarat, and other states to trace the accused who are absconding. Various teams are working and investigating their possible visited places and hideouts. The team is hopeful that they will be arrested soon.
He further said that a separate team is investigating the alleged role of Bootlegger Alpu Sindhi in the matter and also in other offenses.
