Four unidentified individuals attempt to rob the jeweler; Jeweler shot on the leg

Four unknown persons try to rob a jeweler in Vadodara on a Sunday morning;  fired one round after an act of resistance. 

Four unknown persons tried to rob a jeweler in Vadodara, near his house, on Sunday night. They fired one round from a pistol or revolver after the jeweler resisted. The accused fled after he shouted for help. Police with the help of the Forensic Science Laboratory is further investigating the case.

As per the available details, Bhavesh Soni runs a jewelry shop at Sokhada road in the Chhani road area and resides in Ashiyana Society behind the Nizampura bus stand. On the morning of October 17, he went to his shop as per his routine and after finishing the work closed his shop at night, heading home in his car with a bag of accounts.

He collected a food parcel from the hotel and on reaching his society, parked his car near his house. At that time, two people riding a bike shouted “Sabji … Sabji …” and reached near him and tried to rob the bag. However, he resisted the robbers by closing the car door and there was a fight between the three. Bhavesh Soni threw the food parcel to escape the robbers.

According to the complaint, one of the terrified robbers fired a round from a black revolver pistol after Soni threw a parcel at them. He got shot in the right leg during his attempt to escape. Meanwhile, two others rushed there and fled on two motorcycles.

Injured Bhavesh Soni was rushed to the hospital immediately and a complaint has been registered at the Fatehgunj police station. Based on the complaint, police have registered a case of robbery against four unidentified individuals who tried to rob by firing; further investigation will proceed with the help of the Forensic Science Laboratory team.
