Vadodara Prevention of Crime Branch apprehended young narcotic peddlers

A group of educated young people got apprehended by the Vadodara Prevention of Crime Branch(PCB) for peddling narcotics in the city. They got nabbed on the Old Padra Road, along with items worth roughly Rs. 1 lakh. The investigators suspect an interstate enterprise during primary interrogation because the supplier gets the supplies from Madhya Pradesh.

According to reports, a PCB squad stormed a semi-basement at the Avishkar complex on Old Padra Road; apprehended four suspects in possession of narcotics packets, seizing 500 grams of ganja and 10 grams of charas packets worth Rs. 1 lakh. The young people are well-educated and have been working in this network for the past year. The channel is being investigated further by police, who believe it has spread to other states.

“Saquib Munshi and Mohsina are siblings and completed their education from Vidyanagar. They have been involved in this crime for the last year, selling pouches in their friend circles and connections. Their mother is also doing the business from their home. Meet Thakkar and Nupur Sehgal work as a supplier, and they sell the pouches to their connections further. They get the stock from a man, Dilip Kaka, who ordered it from Madhya Pradesh. This is an important breakthrough for us as the sellers and customers are all youth, and most shocking is that the accused are well educated and aware.” said V.P. Gamit ACP Control room.

The channel is being investigated further by police, who believe it has spread to other states. They looked into the accused’s past, their phone records, whether they were drug addicts, and any connections they had with their educational institutions and supply networks.
