The broad gauge lines from Dabhoi to Kevadia Colony started some time ago, according to the information received. Following the start of the Broadgate line, residents in the neighborhood around the railway lines have had to cross the railway tracks under continual threat due to the frequent passing trains. At around 11 PM, three people, including a woman from the Santpuri region, were found behind the Jalaram temple in the center of crossing from Dabhoi railway station.

Late at night, a crowd had gathered on the train tracks blaming the system’s carelessness for the deaths of two people. According to local Lalubhai Devipujak, over 400 households dwell in the Santpuri region. The municipality and the railway system have made no provision for the residents of Santpuri since the inauguration of the Broadgate line. Residents of this region are obliged to cross the railway gate and be taken to the hospital for treatment. Furthermore, students on their way to school are compelled to cross the railway line, putting their lives in danger.

The responsible departments have been asked multiple times, according to local Shankarbhai, to pave the way for Santpuri residents. The system, on the other hand, has taken no action. Three people from Santpuri boarded the train late at night. We are yet unsure how many victims the system will encounter. The incident, which occurred late at night, has prompted public fury. And demand that the railway line be spanned as soon as possible so that people can safely cross.
