Rubber Girl’ Anvi Zanzarukia was awarded ‘Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar’ by Prime Minister Modi

Anvi Zanzarukia from Surat was awarded Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskarby Prime Minister Modi in a ceremony held virtually in the presence of Mayor Hemaliben Boghawala, Resident Additional Collector YB Zala, District Education Officer HH Rajyaguru, and her parents at Surat District Collectorate. A girl with a ‘special’ girl has made special efforts to learn different Yoga asanas. Despite her disabilities, she is resourceful and hardworking. 

 

Expressing his joy for receiving the award with his daughter her father Vijaybhai said that since birth she has been suffering from various physical and mental ailments. She had open-heart surgery due to a congenital heart defect and is currently suffering from Mitral valve regurgitation. Hirschsprung’s disease generally affects children with down syndrome.  is a defect in the large intestine, she has 75% intellectual disability and also has difficulty speaking, but she has improved a lot after her regular practice of Yoga.       

 

The Union Ministry of Women and Child Development Welfare received applications from over 600 children across the country for the Children’s Award. In which 29 children were selected for the year 2022. Anvi was the only child who was selected from Gujarat. At the hands of the Prime Minister, the daughter was given an award through ‘BlockChain Technology’ and a sum of one lakh rupees. The Prime Minister interacted with six children from different states across the country. The National Children’s Award is given to children between the ages of five and eighteen who have achieved remarkable achievements in the fields of sports, social service, education, art, and culture.
