“Quality Improvement in Schools” was the focus of this year’s edition of the Annual Principals’ conference held by Gyan Sarovar Sahodaya, The Central Gujarat CBSE Schools’ Complex

Gyan Sarovar Sahodaya’s Annual Principals’ Conference was held recently in Vadodara, ‘Quality Improvement in Schools’ was the theme for this year and the conference featured a panel of prominent experts in the education field. The Conference got attended by around 70 Principals and Vice-Principals of CBSE schools in and around Vadodara with Dr, Parul Patel. Vice President and Trustee of Parul University, as the Guest of Honor. The speakers for this year’s conference included Mr. G. Balasubranian, Ex-Director Academics, CBSE, Dr. Pawan Dwivedi, and Dy. Registrar of Parul University, and Mrs. Priyadarshini Kelkar, Director, New Era Senior Secondary School, and Chairperson Gyan Sarovar Sahodaya.
Dr. Parul Patel highlighted the significance and need for innovative practices and capacity building amongst all the stakeholders at the school level as well as in higher educational institutions.Mr. G. Balasubramanian shared interesting insights into how the world of education is undergoing a transformation, which necessitates a paradigm shift in how one perceives education. He went on to highlight that “quality is a pursuit, not a destination”, he also elaborated upon how quality improvement can be brought about in Curriculum, Pedagogy, and Assessment.
Dr. Pawan Dwivedi spoke about the importance of values in educational institutions as he beautifully interwove subtle messages into stories from the Bhagavad Geeta and Mahabharata, to drive home the importance of imbibing the correct values in our students, to equip them with the attributes to face the challenges life offers.

Mrs. Priyadarshini Kelkar expounded on how schools can make the most of the human resources available to them, within the school and in the community, to create a culture of learning, caring, and sharing. For the participants, it was a day well spent, filled with sharing of ideas & introspection, and renewed enthusiasm to address the different areas to bring about quality improvement in their schools.
