But what do we mean by medicine ball push-ups?

A medicine or stability ball is used for this advanced bodyweight exercise. This standard push-up variation uses a medicine ball to create a greater range of motion than a basic push-up, increasing activation of your pectorals, delts, and core muscles.

What is the basic difference between regular pushups and medicine ball pushups?

This push-up variation creates a greater range of motion than a basic push-up by using a medicine ball, which activates your chest muscle, upper arm, and core muscles. To perform medicine ball push-ups, start in the plank position with your hands gripping either side of the medicine ball.
