On April 16, 2023, Lok Vigyan Kendra Vadodara, under the guidance of Dr. Jitendra Galvi, Director of Folklore Center Vadodara, organized a STEM 2.0 Quiz competition in two schools in Desar taluka. The program was coordinated by Dinesh Gandhi and planned by the State Government Gujarat Council on Science and Technology. Rakesh Rabari, a teacher at Vaijnath Vidyalaya Vajpur, was appointed as the coordinator for the quiz competition.
The quiz competition was held at Shree M.K. Shah High School Desar and Shree M.D. Patel High School Sadhasal, and students from grades 9 to 12 participated in the event. The students had to answer around 100 questions related to biology, chemistry, physical science, environment, universe, agriculture, and everyday science topics. The quiz was designed to make learning science fun and competitive.
The students participated very enthusiastically, logging in through a link received on their mobile phones and answering questions in the computer lab within an hour. The quiz was a combination of education, fun, and competition, and the students thoroughly enjoyed participating.
At the end of the quiz, the responses were presented by teachers and students from both schools, including Makrani MK Shah High School Science Teacher Paresh Bhabhor, School Principal SM Machhi, Coordinator Mr. Rakesh Rabari, Center Manager Mr. Shailesh M. Machi, school science teacher Mr. Paresh, Mrs. Zankhna, Mr. Kamal, Mr. Devendrasinh Rathore, and technical supporter Mr. Birju. They thanked the students, parents, and teachers for their participation and also expressed gratitude to the Folk Science Center Vadodara.
The entire program was conducted by Rakesh N Rabari, teacher of Sri Vaijnath Vidyalaya Vajpur. This quiz competition was an excellent opportunity for the students of Desar Taluk to enhance their knowledge of science, develop their interest in the subject, and showcase their skills in a fun and competitive environment.
