The Statue of Unity is becoming a bridge to deepen the ties between Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. The third batch of Tamil Nadu residents who arrived at the premises of the Statue of Unity, the world’s largest statue of Sardar Saheb, established as an international tourist destination, were mesmerized by the first sight of the magnificent statue of Sardar Saheb. All the Tamil Nadu residents felt blessed to see the majesty of Sahib. Saurashtra Tamil Sangam became the confluence of Vaigai and Narmada River cultures.
The atmosphere of the premises turned patriotic, with Tamil Nadu residents chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” as they saw the gigantic statue of Saheb in the Statue of Unity. An exhibition on the premises was organized to give an overview of the life of Sardar Sahib. From the viewing gallery, a view of the natural beauty, with the sight of the Narmada River and Vindyachal and Satpuda hills, can be seen. In the evening, by participating in the Aarti of Maa Narmada, Tamil Nadu residents expressed the spirit of divinity by worshipping with passion.
The Saurashtra-Tamil Sangam, held with the noble intention of exchanging cultures, arts, and traditional heritage between the two states, continues to be a confluence of hearts. Greeted by a grand reception at TentCity-II, Tamil Nadu residents exemplified FitIndia by enthusiastically cycling ahead of the tour of the Statue of Unity.
The energy and enthusiasm seen among Tamil Nadu residents were top-notch. This initiative’s credit goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
