Gujarat’s SWAGAT Program in Waghodiya Provides Relief for Beneficiaries in Need

The State Government of Gujarat organized a grievance redressal program in Waghodia Taluka Seva Sadan under the Statewide “SWAGAT Week.” The program, chaired by Resident Additional Collector Dr. B. S. Prajapati, distributed immediate approvals for various types of assistance, including ration cards, widow assistance, life cards, and old age pension assistance.

Beneficiaries who had been facing financial difficulties expressed their gratitude for the support they received at the program. Meena Parmar, whose mother-in-law was sick, received an Ayushman card that would relieve them of any hospital expenses. Kanu Parmar, who previously had trouble obtaining food grains without a ration card, was relieved to receive one at the program.

Sudha Parmar, a resident of Dankheda village in Waghodia taluka, was born with a disability and lost her husband a year ago, leaving her with two small children to support. She received approval for widow assistance, which would help her to take care of her family and educate her children.

The program was attended by officials, including the Waghodiya Mamalatdar, Taluka Health Officer, TDO, and Sarpanch. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the sensitive government that cares for the common people.

This program highlights the importance of grievance redressal mechanisms and the role of the government in providing support to those in need. It also underscores the need for continued efforts to improve the quality of life for marginalized communities and the importance of ensuring that assistance programs are accessible and effective.
