Vadodara Housewife Empowered by DDU-GKY, Finds Income Source to Support Family and Children’s Education

“Being married with two children, it was challenging for me to work outside the home,” says Gohil Ranjeeta, the beneficiary of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana

Gohil Ranjeeta, a housewife from Vadodara, expresses gratitude to the government for providing her with an opportunity to support her family and secure her children’s education. After successfully completing the Credit Processing course under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), Ranjeeta quickly secured a job and now contributes to her family’s financial well-being. Encouraging others to avail themselves of this scheme, she highlights the empowerment it offers.

“I am delighted to support my family and provide better education for my sons,” she adds

Ranjeeta, originally from Vadodara and now residing in Narmadpura village, Waghodia, pursued education up to the 12th standard. She harbored a strong desire to work and joined Sakhi Mandal, actively engaging with the organization. Later, she received training in Credit Processing as well as additional courses in Soft Skills, English, and Computers through DDU-GKY. Within three months of completing the course, Ranjeeta began earning, enabling her to support her family. Initially hesitant, her family now supports her and assists with daily household chores.

“The course has given me the opportunity to fulfill my dreams in life. The best part is the guaranteed job assistance provided after training, allowing me to secure employment within three months. Being married with two children, it was challenging for me to work outside the home. Convincing my family about my decision was initially tough, but they eventually agreed. I joined the course on 14th June, and it has been a wonderful experience. I am delighted to support my family and provide better education for my sons. With my husband working as an auto driver, we can now secure our children’s future together. My husband, elder son, and in-laws support me with household responsibilities as I commute to Vadodara for work. This training has not only given me an identity but also an income source to support my family and my children’s education. I urge everyone to seize the benefits of this scheme and empower themselves,” shared Ranjeeta during a job fair in Vadodara, expressing her experience.
