Flood-Hit Students’ Books Soaked, District Administration Steps In

“Vadodara, Gujarat – Relief Measures Include New Textbooks for Affected Children”

Recent flooding in the Vadodara district has prompted the district administration to provide a helping hand to affected students. During a visit by Collector Atul Gor and District Development officers to flood-affected villages in the Kantha area, children expressed their sorrow over their soaked textbooks.

In response, the district administration has initiated the distribution of new textbooks to these students. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties due to the Narmada River flooding in Vadodara district. Still, officials are actively surveying damaged homes, businesses, and agriculture in the affected areas.

The focus on the education of flood-hit children underscores the administration’s commitment to their well-being. Following a meeting between the Collector and the District Education Officer, instructions were given to provide new textbooks to students whose books were soaked during the flood. The Gujarat State Textbook Board has been tasked with ensuring that these new books are promptly ordered and distributed to the affected children.

This effort exemplifies the district administration’s dedication to both immediate relief and the long-term educational welfare of its young residents.
