Shami has redefined the role of the third seamer, transforming it from a workhorse tasked with restraining batsmen to a dynamic force consistently taking wickets. His impressive record stands at 23 wickets in 6 games, astonishingly averaging 9.13.

All eyes are on him, ears tuned to the crowd’s roar, minds captivated, and hearts beating in unison. Shami has become the heartbeat of this World Cup. Amongst the fast bowlers, not even Jasprit Bumrah can rival the adoration and awe that Shami has garnered throughout the tournament. More than a cricketer he has now become a cult hero that has won the hearts of all the Indians and cricket enthusiasts around the world alike.

Mohammed Shami, the cricket sensation who bowled his way into our hearts during this World Cup!  This talented bowler didn’t just impress the experts with his skills; he became a true hero for the masses. Picture this: Shami, with his magical spells, set the pitch on fire. He sent openers Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra packing, showed the exit to Kane Williamson and Tom Latham, and even dismissed Daryl Mitchell for his second five-for of the tournament. Talk about a stellar performance!

Now, let’s talk numbers. Shami’s stats are nothing short of jaw-dropping – 23 wickets at an incredible average of 9.13 in just six games this World Cup. Thanks to his phenomenal performances, Shami played a crucial role in steering India into the finals. He’s been the talk of the town, earning admiration left and right for his bowling prowess.

New Zealand nearly upset India in the World Cup, four years after their historic defeat in Manchester. Despite a legendary performance by Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and India, who reached 397, New Zealand almost pulled off a miraculous win. The only team to reach the final of three ICC tournaments in the last eight years, New Zealand fought hard, almost enforcing on India another 40 minutes of bad cricket before Mohammed Shami’s express derailed the Kiwi chase.

Delhi Police and Mumbai Police joined in the praise of Shami in a funny banter

Delhi Police X: “@MumbaiPolice hope you do not book @MdShami11 for tonight’s assault.”

Mumbai Police X: “You missed pressing charges of stealing innumerable hearts @DelhiPolice and listing a couple of co-accused too,”
