Nizampura based real estate broker committed suicide by jumping off the seventh floor of a hospital’s building. He was admitted there at GMERS Medical College since Monday midnight where from where he jumped off.
Deceased, 49-year-old Hitesh Shah was admitted there after he complained of vomiting. Late at night, he told his wife Vaijanti that he wanted to use the washroom. She accompanied him and waited for 30 minutes but he still didn’t come out. She got scared and knocked the door incessantly. Meanwhile, she heard commotion in the hospital’s foyer and rushed to see the matter only to find her husband lying in the pool of blood.
His family is now raising questions to hospital authorities as there were no grills in the window. Police arrived and took Shah’s body for to SSG Hospital for post-mortem.
The reason behind his suicide is still unknown but cops suspect that because of his life-threatening disease he was often falling ill.
A case of accidental death was registered at Gorwa police station.
