A birthday celebration in Vadodara with a twist

Mr Hussainbhai Juzarbhai Amreliwala celebrated the birthday of his daughter in a very unique way on Sunday. With an intention of creating awareness about the importance of saving environment and emphasizing on saving dying arts like pottery, the guests were served sweets in and from the vessels made out of clay by a potter at the venue.

It was his daughter’s first birthday and he wanted the kids attending the celebration to learn about the importance of nature. “We are living in concrete jungle these days, and I often see people going on a spending spree to do something unique in their celebrations, but i wanted to do something very different for my daughter’s first birthday. We have created a live demonstration of the art of pottery where kids can engage and learn something new and also could live our childhood.” said Mr Hussain.

He was inspired by AliAsgar Vohra a resident of panigate area of vadodara and a research scholar from MSU who had donated clay sparrow nests to all the guests at the wedding.
Mr Hussain also gave away the clay utensils to the guests as return gift as a message of connecting back to our roots and nature in any and every way possible.
