The Vadodara Kota Passenger was derailed yesterday night at around 2:45 am last night at Vadodara railway station platform 5 and 2 coaches went off track because of a mistake in changing lines.
Also because of the derailment, all the trains from have been running late by 15-20 minutes. Since this incident happened when going to the train yard, major casualties were avoided.
The DRM has set up a committee to inquire into the railway derailment to see whether it happened due to negligence or technical error. The train derailed coaches were shifted by 6 am so that the railway station could operate smoothly.
