Relatives of Sardar Vallabhai Patel have been called to the Rashtrapati Bhavan first time in history.
None of Sardar Vallabhai’s descendants have ever gotten a chance to visit the dignitaries of the nation before. So President Ram Nath Kovind and Savita Kovind visited the statue of unity at Kevadiya dam on 15 December 2018 to 18 December 2018, they met Vallabhais family there and they were invited to the Rashtrapati Bhavan. So on 19 February 2019 eleven of his descendants visited the Rashtrapati Bhavan and spent a whole day with the President.
From Vadodara, Dhirubhai Patel, Urmilaben Patel, Atulbhai Patel, Mansiben Patel, Avi Patel, and Dhwani Patel and from Vidyanagar Bhupendrabhai Patel, Sameer Patel, Himanshu Patel, Upa Patel, and Rakesh Patel went to the Rashtrapati Bhavan on 19 February.
The family got a chance to visit the museum at Rashtrapati Bhavan and also visit the Moghul garden. The president and his wife talked to them about Vallabhai’s courage and simplicity
