A 39-year-old research scientist died in his lab in Gotri yesterday night. Dr Sumant Chaubey was working in his own research lab, 3B Biotech which he had started after graduating from MSU.
A colleague found him unconscious on Wednesday morning and he was immediately rushed to a hospital but didn’t survive. The post mortem revealed that he had died of an electric shock because he was repairing a generator in his lab. He suffered from an electric shock and passed out. He passed away before he could get any proper medical help.
Chaubey, an alumnus of MSU University, has completed his PhD in 2013 and worked in many pharmaceutical companies since then before founding his venture 3B Biotech. His family consists of his wife and two sons.
