In an era where women now stand shoulder-to-shoulder with men, the bushes of Navlakhi ground are screaming to be saved from the gruesome acts of the two men who gang raped a 14 year old girl last night.
Late evening on Thursday, a young couple was physically and sexually assaulted by two men at Navlakhi Ground. The engaged couple, reached the ground between 7 to 8 pm on a two-wheeler, after which two men tip-toed toward the couple from the bushes behind. According to the complaint filed, the accused beat the fiancé and dragged the minor girl deep inside the bushes.
The injured fiancé frantically tried to reach out to his friends and local pedestrians when a PCR van driving by stopped to help him. The Police PCR reached the spot and after hours of searching they found the minor girl around 10:30 pm. The two accused of rape are absconding.
According the description given by the victims, the police have prepared and released sketches of the accused. It is believed that the accused are aged between 25 to 30 years old.
Top police officials have been the assigned to investigate the further in the case. Along with that, 10 police teams with FSL teams and dog squads have been formed to scan the area for samples and trace the culprits.
