Gauri Marwadi who stays in Ramdev Nagar at Khodiyar nagar area developed labour pain. Her husband called 108 ambulance to take her to SSG hospital in Vadodara. The ambulance pilot Anil Baria and EMT Hiral Tadvi tried to reach SSG hospital as earliest possible. However, on the way to SSG, she developed an acute pain which put Hiral Tadvi in dilemma. She took an instant decision and asked the pilot to stop near the hospital gate. With limited facilities available in ambulance Hiral assisted Gauri in delivering the baby. The EMT said waiting to reach the maternity ward would have given some other result, inspite of some complications both mother and baby are healthy and admitted to SSG Hospital.
Family members thanked the 108 staff for taking a timely decision.
