A beauty parlor owner got cheated by three dummy employees of Snapdeal

The three men who claimed themselves as employees of Snapdeal have taken Rs 1 lakh from a beauty parlor manager. They took this amount through a scheme in which the owner had been declared the second winner in the company. In the taluka Police Station, a complaint has been lodged against the same. Based on the complaint, the police have launched a search for the three accused.

Involved in the beauty parlor business is a resident of Gokalpura village in Bhayali near Vadodara. Last year in September, a man named Nitish Kumar called on her mobile phone and identified himself as an employee of Snapdeal and said that she had bought cosmetics from Snapdeal and she is declared as second number winner in the lucky draw. The second number winner will be given a cash amount of Rs 8.50 lakh or a Fortuner car, as per the rules of the company.

So the woman was eager to get the cash. After calling the woman, the three men gave various schemes to her. They asked her to deposit Rs. 2,150 for writing name on drawcard, Rs. 7,300 for cash in exchange for a car, Rs. 16,400 for forwarding file, Rs.4,200 for GST tax, Rs.12,400 for Central Tax, Rs. 19,300 for No Objection Certificate, Rs. 18,200 for Income Tax.

When the woman declined to pay income tax, then the alleged accused, Alok Kumar threatened her. He said if she did not pay the amount, then the Income Tax department would conduct a raid, due to which the woman panicked and paid that amount as well. Also, the alleged accused said that the amount has been credited to her account but as it is a large amount of Rs 8.50 lakh, it will not be shown in her account so she deposited Rs 20,000 more in the bank.

Thus, a total of Rs 99,950 was taken from the woman by the three conmen named Alok Kumar, Nitin Kumar, and Amit Kumar. Further investigation is still going on by the police to arrest the accused.
