A medical student studying at Sumandeep University in Pipaliya village of Waghodia taluka committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of a hostel. On January 4th, the college started and students joined in. Within five days this happened and her suicide shocked everyone.
The girl was staying in the Wama Girls Hostel of Sumandeep University at Pipaliya village in Waghodia taluka. She was in the final year of physiotherapy. On Friday, she jumped to death for unknown reasons. After hearing the thud sound, the hostel warden Vipul Pandya and on-duty security and students rushed to the spot.
She was rushed to Dhiraj Hospital for treatment in a car that was on campus. But, despite the efforts of the doctors of the hospital, she could not survive.
Meanwhile, the incident was reported to the Waghodia police and an unarmed head constable Pravinbhai rushed to the university with the staff. The Police sent the body to Jarod Referral Hospital for postmortem after taking possession. Her family members rushed to the university from Surat after hearing about the incident.
Giving information, Pravin Kumar said, the girl is a resident of Shaakhi village in Palsana taluka of Surat. Out of 7 hostels in Vidyapeeth, she lives in Wama hostel Room No. 324 on the 7th floor. He further informed that after closing her room at around 9 am, she jumped to death from the window of the room behind the hostel. In connection with the incident, an accidental death has been registered.
