Dr. Amar Pandya of General Hospital in Anand, and his team have achieved a rare feat of curing a patient without using Remdesivir injection.
Varsha Parmar, of Bhetasi Vanta village in Anand district, tested positive for corona and had an oxygen level of 70 %. She was admitted to General Hospital in Anand on April 22 for treatment and her condition was critical. Doctors advised her to be shifted to another hospital as she needed a ventilator.
The relatives of the patient approached the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the General Hospital, Dr. Amar Pandya and after placing their faith on him, she was admitted. Dr. Amar Pandya and his team started intensive treatment of the patient, and the patient’s oxygen was maintained in just four days.
Dr. Pandya said that usually such patients have a basic need for oxygen. Their team started treatment following the covid protocols and managed to get the desired oxygen level. The patient is currently in good health and is being treated under the supervision of doctors.
Varsha is currently healthy and undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors. The patient’s family thanked the doctors.
