Vadodara Abhayam team helped a paralysed mother get back her 14 months old girl back. The mother insisted on going to her parents home due to a dispute with her in-laws who insisted on keeping the youngest daughter with them and sending the mother alone.
A spokesperson of 181 Mahila Suraksha Abhayam Seva informed that a paralysed married woman from Gotri area contacted the 181 Women’s Helpline called for help to get back her 14-month-old baby. Responding to the call, the Abhayam rescue team immediately rushed to the spot, convinced the in-laws and handed over the child to the mother. The woman thanked the Abhayam team for help.
As per details, the woman was paralysed and had difficulty doing household work. She was beaten by her husband and harassed by her mother-in-law.
The Abhayam team explained to the in-laws that it is not right to harass the daughter-in-law in such a serious illness and instead they should seek proper treatment for her. The team also explained that the infant would required to be breastfed.
